StayNexus Hotel Manager — Quick Tutorial

1. Install and open the dashboard

1. Install and activate StayNexus Hotel Manager.
2. In wp-admin, open StayNexus Hotel Manager.
3. You’ll see Dashboard, Rooms, Bookings, Guests, Billing, Staff, Restaurants, Channels, Payment settings, Settings, and Trash.

2. Set up your hotel inventory

1. Go to Rooms and create room types (name, price, capacity, total rooms, images, amenities).
2. Add amenities if needed, then attach them to rooms.
3. Set date availability / slots so search can show what is free.
4. (Optional) Add restaurants under Restaurants if you bill F&B separately.

3. Put booking on your site

1. Create or edit a page.
2. Add the shortcode: [shmpp_search]
3. Publish the page. Guests can search dates, pick a room, and reserve.
4. In Settings, set your hotel name and frontend primary color so the form matches your theme.

4. Handle bookings day to day

• Open Bookings to view reservations, check guests in/out, and update status.
• Open Guests for guest profiles and history.
• Soft-deleted items go to Trash — restore or permanently delete from there.
• Use Billing for room, restaurant, laundry, and damage bills.
• Use Staff for roles, employees, and salaries.

5. Payments (optional)

Open Payment settings (not general Settings):

When marking a booking or bill paid, enter a payment reference (cheque number, terminal ID, transfer ref). Stripe payments store the Stripe ID automatically.

6. Channel manager (optional)

Only if you use OTAs through Channex:

1. Open Channels, enter your Channex API key and property ID.
2. Map StayNexus room types to Channex rooms.
3. Push availability/rates and pull OTA bookings into Bookings.
4. Use Channex help in the admin menu for the step-by-step guide.

Direct website bookings work without Channex or Stripe.
